have i mentioned that it's slightly difficult to type because things are in different places on the keyboard? because it is.we spent the last day or so in zürich, and that was great...our hostel was tilted to one side and we had to go up a million stairs, but it was nice. zürich was also great because once again, we were right on a river, and it was crazily eclectic... half the city is made up of foreigners, interesting eh? we also went to the international prostestant church, the largest english speaking church on the continent. the service was really good too, and the pastors were all from the states and then they showed us around, taking us to
the zwingli/bullinger sites...we went to zwingli´s apartment! whoa...then we boarded a night train and came to leipzig...thankfully this night train was much nicer than the one before and we didn´t get stuck in a tunnel. so we got in at 6:25 am, but due to much confusion of our hostel, we ended up walking across downtown twice (luggage and 20 people in all) to end up staying in a different hostel and had trouble making our 11am meeting. but
we did and it was really good.we were able to meet the pastor of st. nicolai church, who lead the prayer meeting and peace rallies in october of 1989, which help to rid the city of the GDR...it was neat. the rest of the day was spent at the stassi museum (the german secret police) and then the battle of the nations memorial or something...something about napoleon...but it gave us a great view of the city...and it´s the largest monument in europe? i don´t know, we don´t speak german!
tomorrow is a music filled day as we hit up bach´s church and the museum too, and then on wednesday we are off to wittenberg!
